Aaron “Freedom” Lyles is a seasoned producer, engineer, and songwriter whose career bridges classic R&B craftsmanship and contemporary studio practice. A native of Queens, New York, Lyles has worked across major-label sessions and independent projects, building a reputation for polished production, thoughtful arrangements, and hands-on engineering. He’s contributed both production and engineering work to notable R&B albums and major soundtrack projects, bringing an artist-first approach to every session.

Lyles’ credits span influential 1990s soundtrack work to more recent album and songwriting placements. Early in his career he is credited among the producers on the soundtrack for the film Jason’s Lyric (1994), a landmark R&B/hip-hop soundtrack that included an array of era-defining artists and producers. He is also credited as a producer/engineer and musician on Angie Stone’s Black Diamond and later Mahogany Soul projects, work that showcases his ability to shape soulful records with both warmth and modern clarity.
